1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement", "T&C") constitute a legally enforceable agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and PDFTool4You ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of pdftool4you.in and all associated web tools, utilities, and services.

By browsing, accessing, uploading files into your local browser workspace, or using any tool on PDFTool4You, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue your use of the website immediately.

2. Age Requirements & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in certain EU member states under the GDPR) to access and use PDFTool4You. By utilizing our utilities, you represent and warrant that you possess full legal capacity to enter into this Agreement, or that you are using the service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who consents to these Terms.

3. Permitted Use & Service License

PDFTool4You grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and royalty-free personal license to access and use our browser tools for personal, academic, professional, or legitimate commercial purposes. You may use our utilities to:

• Compress PDF files to targeted sizes (KB / MB) within your local browser.
• Merge multiple PDF documents into a unified output file.
• Extract, split, and reorganize specific PDF pages.
• Apply text and image watermarks for document authentication.
• Convert image formats (PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, and Images to PDF).

This license is conditioned upon your strict compliance with these Terms. No rights are granted other than those explicitly stated herein.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership

You represent and warrant that you hold all rights, titles, permissions, and lawful licenses to process every file you open in our tools, and that your use of our utilities does not infringe upon any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or privacy rights.

5. Prohibited Conduct & Intermediary Rule 3(1)(b) Compliance (India)

Because PDFTool4You operates from India and is subject to the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you explicitly agree that you shall NOT use this service to process, generate, transmit, or handle any content that:

• Belongs to another person and to which you do not have any lawful right;
• Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or encouraging money laundering or gambling;
• Harmful to minors in any manner whatsoever;
• Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;
• Deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message or knowingly communicates any misinformation;
• Impersonates another person or entity;
• Threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognizable offense;
• Contains software viruses, trojan horses, or any other computer code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of computer resources;
• Engages in automated click fraud, invalid traffic generation, or artificial manipulation of Google AdSense displays.

6. Google AdSense & Indian Advertising Standards (ASCI)

PDFTool4You displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and certified third-party ad networks. In adherence to both Google Publisher Policies and the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Code:

• Ads are algorithmically matched and displayed by Google. PDFTool4You does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the claims, offers, or warranties made in third-party advertisements.
• Users are strictly forbidden from clicking on advertisements dishonestly, using proxy networks, automated scripts, or coordinated groups (invalid traffic). Violations will result in immediate IP banning and reporting to ad network security.
• AdSense uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads tailored to user browsing history. Users may manage or opt out of personalized ad targeting via Google Ads Settings.

7. Intermediary Safe Harbour (Section 79 of IT Act, 2000)

PDFTool4You functions as an intermediary and technology facilitator as contemplated under Section 2(1)(w) and Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Because our software executes completely on the client side inside your web browser:

• PDFTool4You does not initiate the transmission, select the receiver, or select or modify the information contained in the transmission.
• We observe statutory due diligence and intermediary guidelines prescribed by the Government of India.
• We hold no repositories, hosting servers, or databases containing your uploaded or converted files.

8. Client-Side Technical Limits & Backups

All processing occurs locally in your device's browser memory (RAM and Web Workers). As a result:

• Performance depends on your device's CPU, GPU, and available memory. Processing files exceeding several hundred megabytes on low-memory mobile devices may trigger browser tab restarts.
• PDFTool4You does not retain previous versions or cloud backups of your files. You are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies of your files prior to applying modifications.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE WEBSITE AND ALL TOOLS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, PDFTOOL4YOU EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We make no warranty that our tools will meet your specific requirements, will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that document conversions will always match exact byte boundaries or rendering nuances across every device hardware configuration.

10. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL PDFTOOL4YOU, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE MEMORY CRASHES, LOST PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE OUR WEBSITE OR TOOLS.

To the maximum extent permitted under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and applicable law, our aggregate liability shall be strictly limited to ₹1,000 INR (or $10.00 USD).

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PDFTool4You, its operators, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal and accounting fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the service, or your breach of these Terms or applicable Indian regulations.

12. Copyright Infringement & Takedown Notices

Because PDFTool4You processes files entirely client-side without storing user files on servers, we hold no repositories of user documents. If you believe any static site element, image, or text on PDFTool4You infringes upon your copyright under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 or DMCA, please send a written takedown notice to our designated Grievance Officer at ahirwarpratap003@gmail.com.

13. Governing Law & Exclusive Jurisdiction (India)

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, without regard to principles of conflicts of law.

You irrevocably agree that any dispute, claim, legal action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of PDFTool4You shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
